@Raven001: ...the end.

Reply GeneralWinter, November 20th, 2014, 9:15 am

What, that's it?!? Oh man, that's so anti-climactic! But what about them getting married, having sex (sex scenes ftw!), so something! Why does aunt Amelia get all the spotlight right at the end?!?! Whaaaaa....???

Reply JigokuNeko, November 25th, 2014, 8:22 am

@GeneralWinter: Yep, the end. Amelia didn't get the spotlight, Natasha's arc--aka Damian's past-- did. And duuuuude, they're far too young to get married! She just turned 23!

Reply GeneralWinter, November 25th, 2014, 8:53 am

@JigokuNeko: Well, ok, fine - too young to get married. But why wait when you've found the one? Anyway, I am speaking for myself only of course - but the ending could have been a little better. It just felt very sudden, you know? Maybe something you'd like to consider for future reference :) You did a great job of building up the story and characters; it was a great read, despite not being complicated at all. I dunno, maybe what's missing is their first official kiss or something? You know what I mean?

Reply JigokuNeko, November 25th, 2014, 12:07 pm

@GeneralWinter: I will be working on better pacing on the new comic, that's a fact. Also, they already had a first kiss, back in the sugar chapter???

Obviously, this is a story and I am fond of the "first love-true love" trope but I don't believe there is a "one" in real life. There are a lot of people you can love during your lifetime for different reasons and in different ways (also a theme for the new story). Which is why it is better to wait and know yourself, gather some experience and live your life before you commit to somebody. Early twenties are still an extension of puberty, everything changes too rapidly. I say this as a 35 year old; I hardly recognize the person I was at my early 20s and I would have definitely regretted making such a decision back then.

@JigokuNeko: "too young to get married", for some maybe, but both my mother and my sister popped out their first children at 23, and it worked out fine for both of them (my mom even ended up having 5 more) so I can't really say I agree x)

Reply JigokuNeko, June 7th, 2015, 2:54 pm

@Dying-Candy: Our personal experiences definitely shape how we see the world. In my circle/culture most women get married and have one or two --at most-- kids at 30+ so this is what is statistically normal in my mind for family planning. I see early twenties as kids that should have fun, explore themselves and the world and that is reflected in my stories. Then again, I am and fully intend to remain childfree so I have trouble understanding the biological clock ticking imperative other women experience.

loved it! I loved it! I was still sort of creeped out by judge finn and his very definitive way of looking at things I guess. Determining Natasha would never stop and then just executing her right then and there.. I know he's portrayed as the good guy (sort of?) but I feel like that's walking a thin line between what's morally and ethically right and corruption. I mean if he can disregard the law once whose to say he won't cross the line again? I hope not. But I still loved it; it made him more dimensional and definitely made me wonder what I'd do in his situation. I hope Ilona never finds out about Damian's past I guess? But this definitely feels like something that could possibly come back to haunt both Judge Finn and Damian. I'm glad this comic ended where it did, despite some of the topics addressed it was a lighthearted and fun comic! Damian and Ilona were too cute! I'll definitely check out your other work, thanks for sharing this gem :)

@clu3l355: Thanks for reading! ^^
Finn is a curiously moral amoral person but he is certainly not a good person. I think few people would go down his path, simply because they don't have the detachment necessary for this kind of line crossing. It is indeed a fragile balance at the end and it can break easily but that is life!

Wow. Read it all, the whole story from start to finish today and I'm so impressed. It was so good. Asimple to follow story, but at the same time with different things going on and plotpoints and a great cast and woah. So good. I love how it all came together in the end.

The ending is abrupt but not in a bad way. I was not prepared for it to end there but I'm satisfied and I love the "open-ending-feel" but at the same time all things came together.

It was great! Thank you for this lovely story! :D

@xdisasterstory: I'm glad you enjoyed it! Someday I'll write an ending that isn't way too quick...some day, lol.
